For over 38 years, FST Summer Camps have been welcoming young artists to our downtown Sarasota campus to discover, create, and connect through the art of live theatre. FST Summer Camps give young performers the chance to explore their creativity, build confidence, and develop performance skills in a fun, supportive environment. Sessions are offered for youth ages 5-17 with partial and full scholarships available. Led by our team of resident artists, campers will explore acting, improv, singing, dance, sketch comedy, and learn about the behind-the-scenes aspects of live theatre. Our teaching artists strive to nurture individual growth, collaboration, and lasting friendships. Camp sessions range from 1 to 3 weeks, with all 2- and 3-week sessions concluding in an original performance on FST’s stages. This summer we are excited to expand our reach into North Manatee County with 1-week sessions offered throughout June at Slick Motion Dance Studios in Ellenton. Campers will be able to enjoy the same high-quality, thoughtfully guided training, creative exploration, and collaborative fun in a unique setting. Theatre is everywhere. Found in stories, movement, play, and imagination. This one-week camp invites children to discover the joy of theatre in a fun, supportive, and creative way. Through a variety of ensemble games, movement, and improvisation, children will explore acting, dance, and voice while building confidence and collaboration skills. No prior theatre experience is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to try something new. The week ends with a Shareformance where families and friends are invited to see what campers have been creating together.

FST’s signature and most popular camp experience for over 38 magical years! Campers will build extensive acting, voice, improvisation, and movement skills in a spirited environment led by FST’s high-caliber resident teaching artists. In a joyful and supportive environment enriched by tradition and the thrill of creating and rehearsing an original work of art, campers will grow their confidence, celebrate their unique voices, build ensemble, and discover the power of empathy – skills that shine both on stage and in everyday life. Camp ends with an originally devised theatrical production performed on stage in FST’s historic Keating Theatre.
TEEN PERFORMING ARTS CAMP (Ages 13-17)

A camp designed for teens looking to hone their skills in acting, improvisation, voice, and movement. This unique camp experience focuses on artistic growth—where campers will learn to access and express truth on stage all while building confidence and ownership of individual expression as the member of an ensemble. Campers will explore character development and a variety of performance techniques under the guidance of FST’s team of high-caliber resident teaching artists. Together as one brave ensemble, campers will devise an original theatrical work that will be shared with family and friends in a performance on the final day of camp.
ACT UP! Teen One-Acts (Ages 13-17)

In this highly collaborative and dynamic theatre camp, teens will audition, be cast, and rehearse a character-driven one-act play, culminating in a fully staged performance for family and friends. Campers receive individualized guidance to develop acting skills and stage confidence through exercises in auditioning, script analysis, character work, improvisation, movement, and vocal technique. Daily rehearsals and ensemble-building activities foster teamwork, strong character development, and a love for the magic of live theatre. Ideal for teens passionate about performing and growing as actors.
TEEN IMPROV CAMP (Ages 13-17)

We invite your teen to join the fun, collaborative, and spontaneous world of improv! Led by company members from FST Improv, this exhilarating camp experience will introduce the basic skills and games to create characters and develop scenes in a supportive and creative environment. Participants will learn to trust their creative instincts and their scene partners as they build connections with others through unscripted, cooperative storytelling. Camp will end with a live improv show, performed on the same stage as FST’s professional resident improv team.
TEEN SKETCH COMEDY CAMP (Ages 13-17)

Join our 2-week comedy sketch camp, where you’ll dive into the world of writing hilarious sketches, creating unforgettable characters, and teaming up with other teens to bring your ideas to life. Using improvisation games as your secret weapon, you’ll brainstorm, experiment, and craft sketches that are original, clever, and genuinely funny.
By the end of the session, all your hard work will come to life in a live performance of your sketches, performed on the same stage as FST’s professional resident improv team. No experience? No problem− just bring your creativity and sense of humor, and get ready to write, perform, and share sketches in a fun, high-energy environment.
