Discovery Point Child Development Center – Program Overview
Discovery Point is a child development center serving children from six weeks to twelve years of age. Since 1990, Discovery Point Child Development Centers have grown to 47 locations across Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and Tennessee. The franchise corporation is headquartered in Duluth, Georgia.
While we originally aimed to open a Discovery Point Child Development Center in Southwestern Florida in the spring or early summer of 2020, we have since established our presence and continue to work closely with the corporate team to serve our communities. We are expanding to Lakewood Ranch in the Summer of 2027.
At Discovery Point Twelve Oaks, families trust that their children are learning in a safe, nurturing, and secure environment. The center promotes healthy eating habits and physical activity while also supporting children’s overall well‑being through positive role modeling, social development, and age‑appropriate recreational opportunities.
We offer individualized childcare for children ages six weeks through 12 years. Each classroom is designed for every stage of your infant's and child's development. The school offers a wrap‑around VPK program, providing full morning or afternoon enrichment that prepares children for kindergarten and beyond. School‑age students, from kindergarten through age 12, benefit from a dependable before‑ and after‑school program where they can complete homework, socialize, participate in structured activities, and work on center‑guided projects each day. Our summer camp, which began on June 1 and runs for ten weeks through August, offers field trips, a STEM program, Amazing Athletes, Super Soccer, field days, arts, music, plays, and team-building games.
